PhD. grant opening at IFIC (Valencia, Spain): Study of beta spectrum of decays of relevance for the prediction of the antineutrino spectrum in reactors

We offer a 3-year grant to do a doctoral thesis on the study of the beta spectrum of important fission products for the prediction of the antineutrino spectrum in reactors. The work will be based on a new setup under development using beams of high isotopic purity provided by the IGISOL IV facility in Jyväskylä (Finland). The research will take place at IFIC (University of Valencia and CSIC), Valencia, Spain.

The candidate should have a Master of Science (MSc) in Physics by the time of the application and should have a degree in Physics obtained IN A COUNTRY OTHER THAN SPAIN after January 1st 2014, and should not hold a PhD degree.

Starting date of the contract: 01.07.2018
